Thanksgiving with the Kuykendalls

For Thanksgiving this year we went to Brad's cabin in Wyoming. It was tons of fun, and it was so nice to finally get to relax for a while. First Jordyn came to stay with us for the weekend. We still had school so it probably wasn't too exciting for her, but we did go to see Twilight which I highly recommend. We finally got to the cabin on Tuesday and got to spend time with everyone until Friday morning when they all left. Brad and I went out on a date to Jackson Hole Friday night. Sadly, Brad got sick on Saturday so he spent the day sick and I did homework all day. Nevertheless, it was a very nice Thanksgiving. Here are some pics from the week.

Pumpkin Carving

Well here are some pics from carving pumpkins with Sarah and Casey. I think they turned out pretty awesome. Hopefully we will do something else exciting soon so we can post something!

We also had a little date night last night. We went to the BYU mens basketball game and then out to dinner. It was yummy. We are looking forward to having a visitor next weekend. We will finally get to do something different from our usual school, school, and school schedules!

Football, BBQ, and 5K

This Saturday we started our day with a little shopping at Macy's. Katie got a new back pack! It may no sound exciting to you now, but she carries so many books to and from school that she actually ripped her old one. Way to go PHD! We got all ready for the football game, and although we didn't actually get to go, we watched what we could and had a BBQ. Here are some pics of us while we waited for the burgers.

After our BBQ we ran a halloween 5K in American Fork with Sarah, Casey, Megs, and Benny. It was called runnin thru the boneyard, and we literally ran most of the race in a cemetary. Needless to say I was creeped out. They even had people dressed up as zombies jump out of the graveyard to scare the runners! The race started at 7 PM so it was dark for the whole race. We all got glow sticks and long sleeved t-shirts. Here are some pics from before the race. Megs and Benny showed up a little late so unfortunately they aren't in the pics.
Unfortunately Brad and I are not very good at taking pictures of ourselves. Thus, we have days where we take a bunch and then don't take anymore until 3 months later. So please don't mind the clustering of our photographs that all look pretty much the same. :)

Katie's Mom and Dad here for the Weekend

Last weekend Katie's parents came to Provo. We got to spend 4 days with the family, and it was awesome. The beginning of their stay we all were still in school, but we still found time to hang out. Saturday was a day full of sports. In the morning dad, Megs, Sarah, Casey, and Benny all ran a 5-K. Brad and I sat out for our intramural games later and so we could hang out with mom and cheer them in. Here are some pics from the race.

My dad won a BYU polo at the race! After the race we Benny and Brad had intramural football, and Katie and Brad had coed intramural basketball. The football team played down one player the whole game and still won 26-6! The basketball team won and over doubled the other team's score! The rest of the weekend was a lot of hanging out because it was freezing outside! It was really fun to have my parents here and we are looking forward to seeing them at Christmas!

Katie's B-Day Party

This Saturday we had a little party for me since I'm turning 22 on Tuesday! We were happy to have Benny and Sarah and Casey there as well as Jordan and Emily. Ben and Chelsea came by later but unfortunately the camera was gone before they arrived! We all went to cafe rio (of course) and then came back for some delicious Baskin Robins ice cream cake that Brad had made for me. Sarah, Casey, and Benny all got me awesome presents... and when I get my presents from Brad I'm sure they will be awesome as well. We forgot to buy candles so we just put a t-light on the cake. Naturally, I blew all the candles out in one try! Here are some pics from the event. It was so nice to spend time with our family and friends to celebrate my birthday!

5K with the family

A couple weekends ago we ran a 5K with Sarah and Casey, Meghan, and Benny. It was really fun and exhausting! Everyone did really well and we walked away with 3 medals and a bunch of door prizes! The morning of the race is was extremely cold in the canyon and very early. Aside from this, we of course showed up looking hot (yeah right!). Here are some pictures from the race. We are all planning on running another 5K in October in American Fork for halloween. Enjoy!

Fourth of July Extravaganza

Last week Rachel and the girls drove out from Ohio. We also had Brad's family in town for the 4th of July. The week consisted of pool time, Seven Peaks, Stadium of Fire, Orem Owlz baseball game, shopping, Sharon's 12th birthday, Salt Lake City, and just enjoying the girls. Although the week did end with everyone getting sick. The rest of the week was great. Here are some pics from the week.

Copying off of the siblings

Well... Sarah and Megs have blogs so I decided we should make one. We'll try to keep you updated on our crazy lives as often as we can. Currently I am doing my PHD and Brad is finishing up undergrad to go on to his MBA program. Being newly weds is amazing, and we are just spending our spare time enjoying each other.
