Football, BBQ, and 5K

This Saturday we started our day with a little shopping at Macy's. Katie got a new back pack! It may no sound exciting to you now, but she carries so many books to and from school that she actually ripped her old one. Way to go PHD! We got all ready for the football game, and although we didn't actually get to go, we watched what we could and had a BBQ. Here are some pics of us while we waited for the burgers.

After our BBQ we ran a halloween 5K in American Fork with Sarah, Casey, Megs, and Benny. It was called runnin thru the boneyard, and we literally ran most of the race in a cemetary. Needless to say I was creeped out. They even had people dressed up as zombies jump out of the graveyard to scare the runners! The race started at 7 PM so it was dark for the whole race. We all got glow sticks and long sleeved t-shirts. Here are some pics from before the race. Megs and Benny showed up a little late so unfortunately they aren't in the pics.
Unfortunately Brad and I are not very good at taking pictures of ourselves. Thus, we have days where we take a bunch and then don't take anymore until 3 months later. So please don't mind the clustering of our photographs that all look pretty much the same. :)

Katie's Mom and Dad here for the Weekend

Last weekend Katie's parents came to Provo. We got to spend 4 days with the family, and it was awesome. The beginning of their stay we all were still in school, but we still found time to hang out. Saturday was a day full of sports. In the morning dad, Megs, Sarah, Casey, and Benny all ran a 5-K. Brad and I sat out for our intramural games later and so we could hang out with mom and cheer them in. Here are some pics from the race.

My dad won a BYU polo at the race! After the race we Benny and Brad had intramural football, and Katie and Brad had coed intramural basketball. The football team played down one player the whole game and still won 26-6! The basketball team won and over doubled the other team's score! The rest of the weekend was a lot of hanging out because it was freezing outside! It was really fun to have my parents here and we are looking forward to seeing them at Christmas!
